Greetings! Alaron was born in June of 2008 (late-BC time frame, for those who’ve lost all concept of the real world), as I found myself with quite a bit of free time on my hands. I leveled him to 40ish and promptly left him in Desolace to work on my Warlock, Adrios, which was incredibly fun as a leveling character. (dotdotfear…evillaugh…wait don’t pull that other pack!) I took my lock to 70 and raided casually through Kara before the release of WOTLK. I promptly leveled my warlock to 80 upon release, to find that our guild’s tanks had not returned. Hence, Alaron’s return! Once I got him over the hump, so to speak, into BC content, I found him a much more challenging, rewarding, and appropriate character for my personality then Adri. Sadly, the dumbing-down of Affliction in 3.1 only accelerated this, and I adopted Alaron as my new main.
Of course, I hit 80, crafted a reasonable feral set…and we recruited more tanks. 🙂 What did we need now? Healers! Crafted a tree set…no wait DPS now! (Grrrr.) Eventually, however, I came to enjoy the pure flexibility of my druid to be able to tank, DPS, and heal, without respecs. (After the release of dual spec, of course.) I intend to write (hopefully) engaging things about all types of druids, plus plenty of other content about all things WoW. (Note: I like parenthetical comments.) Thanks for coming by.
